FAQ

From installation to long-term care, we want your Pacific Spa to feel effortless. These FAQs bring together the key information homeowners ask about most, including maintenance tips, performance features, and how to get support when you need it.

Energy Efficiency & Construction

What makes Pacific Spas energy efficient?

Pacific Spas uses a multi-layer insulation system, a heat-retentive cabinet design, and a sealed ABS base to trap warmth and reduce heater use. Together, these features keep operating costs low — even without full-foam insulation.

What is Triple Insulation?

Triple Insulation is our multi-layer thermal system designed to keep heat inside the spa and block cold air from entering. It improves energy efficiency, enhances winter performance, and protects internal components over time.

How does the construction improve performance?

Every Pacific Spas model is built with a durable shell, rigid frame, and efficient components. This construction improves heat retention, water flow, structural strength, and long-term comfort.

Are Pacific Spas suitable for cold climates?

Yes. Our insulation system, sealed base pan, and efficient heating setup are engineered for Canadian winters, performing reliably in freezing conditions across BC, Alberta, and northern regions.

Comfort & Hydrotherapy

What makes Pacific Spas comfortable?

Our ergonomically contoured seating, generous footwells, and balanced jet patterns are designed to support the body’s natural posture and create full-body relaxation.

How does hydrotherapy work?

Hydrotherapy uses warm water, buoyancy, and targeted jets to reduce tension, ease muscle and joint pain, improve circulation, and support recovery.

Are the jets customizable?

Yes. Most jets can be adjusted for pressure and direction, allowing you to tailor the massage experience to your comfort level.

What is the Pacific Wave AI Therapy System?

Pacific Wave AI uses smart sensors and adaptive flow technology to adjust jet motion in real time. It learns your preferred rhythm, pressure, and massage style to deliver a personalized, deeper, more consistent hydrotherapy experience.

Buying & Ownership

Where can I buy a Pacific Spa?

Pacific Spas are available through our trusted dealer network across Canada. You can also contact us directly for help finding a retailer near you.

Do you sell directly to customers?

We work primarily through authorized dealers, but homeowners in the Vancouver and Lower Mainland area can contact us for purchase guidance.

How can I become a Pacific Spas dealer?

We welcome inquiries from qualified retailers. Contact us to discuss dealership opportunities and available regions.

What warranty comes with a Pacific Spa?

Our spas are backed by a comprehensive warranty that covers the shell, plumbing, equipment, and electrical components. Exact coverage varies by model.

Where can I get parts for older Pacific Spas?

Pacific Spas has undergone major design updates in recent years, and parts for older units are no longer in production. For legacy components, we recommend Elm Spa Equipment.

Do I need a permit to install a hot tub in Canada?

In most municipalities, yes. Electrical connections must be done by a licensed electrician, and some areas require zoning approval. Check with your local city hall for specific requirements.

Can I use a hot tub in freezing weather?

Yes. Modern hot tubs are built for year-round use in Canada. With proper insulation and a secure cover, your spa remains efficient even in freezing temperatures.

How long do hot tubs last?

A well-built hot tub can last 15–20 years with proper care. Factors like insulation, build quality, and water maintenance play a major role in longevity.

Maintenance

How often should I clean or replace my hot tub filters?

Your filters should be rinsed every 1–2 weeks and deep-cleaned monthly. Most filters need to be replaced every 12–18 months, depending on usage and water quality. Clean filters keep your water clear, reduce strain on the pump, and help your spa run efficiently.

How often should I drain and refill my Pacific Spa?

We recommend draining and refilling your spa every 3–4 months. Regular water changes help maintain proper balance, prevent buildup in the plumbing, and keep your spa performing the way it was designed to. Heavy use may require more frequent changes.

Who do I contact for service or warranty repairs?

All warranty and service requests are handled through the dealer you purchased your spa from. Pacific Spas works directly with authorized dealers to coordinate parts, service, and warranty support.
If you need assistance, simply contact your original retailer and they will open a service request with us.

What regular maintenance does my spa need to run well long-term?

To keep your spa performing at its best, maintain balanced water chemistry, clean your filters regularly, inspect your cover seal, and ensure the water level stays above the jets. Seasonal checks — especially before winter — help protect your pump, heater, and insulation. A few simple routines go a long way toward long-term performance.
